The name Glenn Wood is synonymous with tap dance in Australia.
After 20 years of professional dancing which included stage shows and productions, Glenn’s unique style of tap and performance was gaining traction.
People were asking “Can you teach me that?” And so began Glenn’s journey in the Tap Dance teaching world.
With by then two decades in dance and tap dance teaching, Glenn combined his dance skills and his Masters of Arts (Dance Major) degree and created the GWT Syllabus for Dance Studios.
The GWT Syllabus has been taught around the world for the past 16 years and in that time has grown into a cult-like following.
So what is the premise that makes the GWT syllabus and GWT style of Tap dance so unique?
To explain it in the words of Dein Perry, creator of Tap Dogs.
“His dancers have the best footwork going round – second to none in this era”.
Glenn has taught many world-known dancers including Steven McRae, principal dancer with the Royal Ballet and Lachlan Monaghan, principal dancer with Birmingham Royal Ballet.
Travelling around Australia and New Zealand as a Tap dance examiner, Glenn enjoys meeting tap dancers and sharing his knowledge and experience and is now thrilled to be now offering his tap dancing with the world via online training.
With 40 years of tap dance and 20 years of training –
Glenn now brings his tap dancing lessons to you!
